To celebrate its love affair with the HBO vampire series True Blood, Brentwood’s Compartes Chocolatier has issued this limited edition line of “undead” truffles. Resting in a cardboard coffin, the organic chocolates are stenciled with blood-tipped fangs on the front and infused with blood orange ganache that bleeds red from the inside. The taste is supposedly tangy and sweet, not salty (sorry, blood chuggers). We haven’t seen such a violently delicious looking bite since Jordan Kahn cleaned up at the 2010 StarChefs gala.
