River North: To celebrate the women’s World Cub final match between the United States and Japan on Sunday, July 17, SushiSamba Rio is hosting a viewing party at 1:45 p.m. featuring themed drink specials. So colorful! [Grub Street]

Gold Coast: On Tuesday, July 19, Bistronomic will start serving lunch Tuesday through Friday. They’ll be open between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and will be serving an abbreviated menu of salads, sandwiches, and entrees. [Grub Street]

Irving Park: Smoque BBQ just announced that it has opened an outdoor patio. While not of much use during the winter, this should be an ideal place to sit during this spell of reasonable weather we are having right now. [SmoqueBBQ/Twitter]

Logan Square: Sip through a three-beer tasting flight and snack on dishes from Gaztro-Wagon’s Matt Maroni this Friday, July 15, as the Logan Square Kitchen hosts a “Brewer’s BYO.” Chat with brewers from around the city, and even bring in your own home brew. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased here. [Grub Street]
