A little item from the Inside Scoop print column alerts us to the possibility, now at pre-confirmed rumor stage, that Pizzaiolo/Boot & Shoe Service guy Charlie Hallowell may have some new East Bay projects up his sleeve. That’s all we get, along with a notice that his chefs de cuisine at each restaurant are increasingly taking control. This comes on the heels of Boot & Shoe’s next-door café expansion this week, and a rumor a couple months back that Hallowell might partner with the new owner of Place Pigalle on a food menu.
