Beyoncé mulling a cookbook isn’t today’s only literary news. Fisherman, newly minted Cooking Channel host and former illegal food service establishment operator Ben Sargent has landed a book deal. Here’s the blurb from Publisher’s Marketplace.

Host of Cooking Channel’s Hook, Line & Dinner and Creator of the Underground Lobster Pound in Brooklyn, Ben Sargent’s untitled seafood cookbook of food, travel, adventure, and storytelling, with 75-100 recipes and color photos, to Emily Takoudes at Clarkson Potter, for publication Summer 2013, by Steve Troha at Folio Literary Management (World).

So, the former “Dr. Claw” of Greenpoint has a book deal. Let’s hope it’s only a matter of time before the other Dr. Claw, best known for his assorted acts of international evil gets one, too. With all these celebrity cookbooks coming out, it’s really long overdue.
