AH wonders if Pairings will be the next to go, since the hotel is under new ownership and appears to be cleaning house. Pairings, if you recall, replaced Todd English’s Bonfire with very mixed results. It did give us this memorable line from Devra First’s Globe review, though: “An appetizer of bay scallops is one of the stranger dishes I’ve sampled recently. I almost love it, but it also makes me feel like I’m having an acid flashback.” Such … pretty … colors … on the pretty, pretty plates … Ahem! Will Pairings be next?
