The minor plumbing emergency that kept Sampan dark yesterday, was a major brunchtime bummer felt all through Midtown Village. With the 13th Street spot closed for the day, where were Philly’s fashionable late-risers going to find Togarashi Bloody Mary’s and corned beef and sauerkraut Char Sui Buns to ease their hangovers? Rest assured, Sampan is back to normal hours today. Chef-owner Michael Schulson told Grub Street this morning that the plumbing issues were rectified and today it will be business as usual.
