A New Raku?

Raku Under New Ownership in West L.A.

We love the personal touches and deep commitment found at Raku, West L.A.’s Japanese-Korean izakaya that Mary Sue Milliken recently revealed to us as a favorite of her’s too. That’s why news of an ownership change has us just a little nervous for our $3.50 Kirin drafts and egg-topped beef sashimi, especially since we’ve only just dried our tears over Terried Sake House’s shutter. A source here tells us that a new party has purchased the restaurant and must leave the name alone for six months, after which a new look and possibly a new concept could be on the table, if they so choose (please no more sausages). Mess with us all you’d like, restaurants, but we refuse to let you hurt Mary Sue!
