Dallas BBQ has always made interesting marketing decisions, like that giant photo of a shrimp cocktail. And yet when we saw this latest advertisement gracing the East Village location we thought, Wow. Just, wow. What, you ask, is a Blue Crush? We’re told it’s a twenty-ounce frozen Long Island Iced Tea with a float of Bacardi 151 and “blue syrup.” So the tagline, “It’s intoxicating”? Unlike the time BBQ tried to pass off Spike Lee as the auteur of its frozen apple martini, this is probably not a case of false advertising.
