Is there a single cook-off on Earth that Eric Greenspan won’t try to conquer? Probably not (save for chapulines maybe). On June 29th from 7:00 to 9:00, The Foundry chef will get into culinary combat with Neal Fraser, Eva’s Mark Gold, and Waterloo & City toque Brendan Collins for an Island-style cook-off organized by Los Angeles magazine and held at The Fairmont.

The chefs will compete with their Hawaiian dishes and so far, creative uses of SPAM and poke are expected to vie for the attention of judges Ray Garcia, Roy Yamaguchi, and editrix Leslie Bargar Suter. The two winning chefs will then face off in a final showdown. Open to the public, $20 tickets are available online and includes some tropical drinks and gourmet pupu, not to be confused with that actual poo-poo we’re all eating from China.
