Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation benefit is back this Sunday; a massive tasting event in Culver City of 46 chefs, seven mixologists, and a cooking contest judged by J. Gold, Kathy Griffin, and Mary Sue Milliken. Inevitably, there’s also an auction, where chef Michael Voltaggio, a huge SOS supporter who bears the non-profit’s logo on his leg, will sweeten the deal.

The chef is offering the highest bidder a chance to be the very first to experience an omakse dinner for eight people at his anticipated restaurant, ink. (coming in August, wethinks). Online tickets for Taste are unfortunately now sold out, and only available at the door. And if you don’t win first crack at Voltaggio’s omakse, not to fret. You’ll just have to read about in on KevinEats like the rest of us.
