Not-So-Hopelessly Delayed

Bluestem Brasserie to Debut in Three Weeks

The big, new, much delayed steakhouse and brasserie on Yerba Buena Lane, Bluestem Brasserie, has put their opening week on the calendar, and it will be sometime during the week of June 20, if all goes well. Earlier we showed you a sneak peek of the massive new spiral staircase they installed, and now we’re starting to hear of test-dinner type events starting around the 15th, so things appear to be close. As we’ve also discussed earlier, the menu will focus not only on center-cut meats, but also whole-animal butchery with French flair from chef Sean Canavan (formerly of Left Bank, La Folie, and Chapeau!).

Tablehopper is now doing a contest for readers in which the winners will get to go to a cocktail preview at Bluestem’s bar next Tuesday, June 7, and have a hand in helping name the drinks for the menu. See the details here.

More to come as this opening approaches.
