Behold, the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Cocktail at Spoonbar

Photo: Scott Beattie

Bar star Scott Beattie just shared with us this new special cocktail he’s been doing at Spoonbar in Healdsburg, and it’s a pretty one! Also, it looks a little like Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors, as Beattie was quick to point out, with the addition of huge Korean shiso leaves for garnish. The drink, which he’s named The Eye of Fatima, is a combination of Veev Açai spirit, lemon juice, shiso-infused simple syrup, and muddled lemon verbena, shiso, and sage leaves. And that flower on the top, because it wouldn’t be a Beattie cocktail without an elaborate garnish? That would be Love-in-a-Mist, otherwise known as a Nigella flower. The cocktail appears as a special on the Spoonbar menu as long as Beattie and co. can get their hands on all the ingredients, and the flowers. [Grub Street]
