The Broken Egg Cafe opened in Louisiana in 1996 before branching out to franchised locations in the South called Another Broken Egg Cafe. The brand’s first California store sprang on Burbank on May 23rd and is currently soft-open to serve a fairly eggcellent assortment of lunch, brunch, and breakfast foods.
You’ll find plenty of odd omelets here (like the Bacoado or Bacquezo), along with the occasional Cajun touch, be it crabcake crostini, a Mardi gras omelet with crawfish, or cheese-covered, topping tossed country spuds. This is a spot for egg-lovers, where Benedicts have seven representatives, chorizo and tortillas take their rightful places as U.S. breakfast staples, and burgers and Bloody Marys are there in case you need them. Check out the full menu via PDF and if so moved, you can find Another Broken Egg grand-opening, ribbon-cutting and all, on June 15th at 11:00 A.M.
