Moonshine! The Herald’s Fork Lift blog notes that Tennessee’s Ole Smoky Moonshine has come North: It’s available in Massachusetts liquor stores beginning this week.

According to the Herald, the recipes are “based on techniques passed down through generations of residents from the Great Smoky Mountains region of Appalachia.” Sounds legit to us. Plus, they come in cute little mason jars!

The Herald recommends Ole Smoky’s Apple Pie flavor, which does sound wholesomely tasty. But we’re more struck by their White Lightnin’ variety, which Ole Smoky recommends for use in moonshine margaritas and moonshine mojitos.

So we know what we’ll be sipping this week. ‘Til now, the ‘shine was only available down South and in … New Jersey. Go figure!
