You’ll recall that Los Angeles’s hottest burger chain, Umami Burger, is expanding to the Bay Area, and multiple other locations across the country. Well, now Eater gets word from owner Adam Fleischman that’s he working on a deal for a Mission outpost as well, thereby saving Missionites from having to trek to the Marina for his burgers, and vice versa — these two territories having barely accepted the détente negotiated for them back in dot-com days, when inter-’hood tensions ran high. That still TBA Union Street location is in progress, but hopefully both locations will be open by fall? [Eater]
