Wicker Park: It now just got a smidgen easier to land a reservation at the notoriously hard to get into Schwa. Biz3food, which handles PR for the restaurant, sent out an e-mail yesterday that announced it’d be taking a few “spontaneous SCHWA reservations” on Twitter, and that all one had to do was “retweet AND follow us.” [Biz3Food/Twitter via The Feast]

Logan Square: Thanks to an especially odd non-competition clause with New Wave, La Boulangerie has been prohibited by law from selling individual croissants. The shop can sell them by the dozen, and has been making due with the limitation for the past few months. Interestingly, it looks like the owner found a loop hole which allows the bakery to sell individual items on its outdoor patio. [Trib]

Lakeview: Speaking of the Custom House Tavern, the owners — Sue Kim-Drohomyrecky and Peter Drohomyrecky — are planning to open two new restaurants at the same address. Maison will be a “modern” French brasserie, while Eggy’s is going to be “late-sixties diner.” Expect the last joint to serve meat loaf and a club sandwich. [Chicago Mag]

Uptown: Sam Banks and Aris Sulejmani are planning to open Reservoir in the next “six to nine months.” The hope is for the place to serve “small-plate American food in an upscale setting.” The two owners are just waiting to find the right chef and get approved for a liquor license.
