Marrakesh Express, University City’s fast/cas Moroccan spot near 44th and Chestnut, closed suddenly last week. Citypaper critic and Meal Ticket contributor Adam Erace reports he ate there on a Friday for a review he was working on, and by Monday there was no one answering the phones. Chef-owner Brahaim Ighladen reportedly said a sale of the restaurant went down quickly, and following renovations a new venture will open in two weeks. [Meal Ticket]
