Back in 1995 Stephen Starr transformed Old City from a dirty and desolate neighborhood into a thriving nightlife hub when he transformed the old greasy spoon at the corner of 2nd and Market streets into the Continental. Now some 16 years later, the old Snow White diner on the opposite corner is on the verge of being reborn as a similarly stylish destination called Revolution House. It’s the brainchild of Ristorante Panorama’s Luca Sena and John Poulos and is expected to open on June 1, according to Naked Philly, which has some nifty photos of the interior and exterior. Whether or not it will have the same impact as Continental, is not yet known. But it’s progress nonetheless. The space features two bars and a gorgeous deck. Luca Sena Jr., who plans to offer upscale Italian-inspired diner fare during the day and “fancier” dinners at night will handle food. [Naked Philly]
