Those of us without access to a waterfront summer getaway (or, well, even a backyard) can now take comfort in knowing that there’s a bit of beachy bacchanalia to be enjoyed right here in the city. Beginning this weekend, Post 390 launches a Backyard BBQ series complete with cheap-o summertime treats.
On the menu: $1 oysters, $5 mussels, $7 half-pound burgers, and $6 twin pearl hot dogs dressed with sauerkraut, pickle relish, and yellow mustard. There’s also an array of $2 picnic-ish sides, like potato salad and deviled eggs. And, most important, Narragansett Summer Ale comes five to a bucket for $15 (or $3 apiece).
The menu’s on offer at the bar and lounge from 3 p.m. until close on Sundays and Mondays, so we can still steal away to our friends’ parents’ oceanfront domiciles earlier in the weekend, if we’re lucky.
