Hope for Cambodian Sandwiches As Num Pang Expands

New York’s Cambodian sandwich population took a hit when Kampuchea closed last year, but now comes the happy news that pretty much the last holdout for that food, Num Pang, is expanding. The popular Greenwich Village Asian-sub shop (which is run by Ratha Chaupoly, Kampuchea’s former owner) will open at 140 East 41st Street, reports Eater. The location looks to be very much still under construction, but with the storefront’s proximity to Grand Central, expect before long to have a delicious option for a pre-Metro-North bite — if you can brave the lines.
