Things have to be getting a little jollier for piano bar magnate Jolly Weldon after he was found not guilty of threatening a former business partner’s father last year. The Insider reports that the case against Weldon, of Jolly’s Dueling Piano Bar fame, began crumbling yesterday in court when his attorney questioned why it took a month for Timothy Smith Sr., the guy who was allegedly threatened, to report the incident to police. Since things got heated and ugly last September at 20th and Chestnut streets, where Weldon’s piano bar used to reside, Jolly’s was evicted and has since moved to the Academy House near Broad and Locust.
