French Culinary Institute Adds Two New Deans


To coincide with its California expansion, the French Culinary Institute sends word that it’s adding two new deans to its roster: David Kinch, of Manresa in Los Gatos, California; and Emily Luchetti, executive pastry chef at San Francisco’s Farallon and Waterbar. They join the ranks of FCI’s other deans, Jacques Pépin, Alain Sailhac, André Soltner, Jacques Torres, Alan Richman, and Cesare Casella. Kinch and Luchetti will be focused primarily on the California outpost, though a rep for the school tells us they’ll serve as “ambassadors” for the schools in New York City and Parma, too.
