First Look at The Bar at Cliff’s, Open Tomorrow at Cliff’s Edge

The dining room at Cliff’s Edge has been given an incredibly romantic new look from owner Dana Hollister, with some of the same entrancing rustic influences that you’ll find at her Downtown bar Villains Tavern and a new classic cocktail component component called The Bar at Cliff’s, which also offers a few light eats. The glass roof has been convincingly chopped by the building’s original wooden slats, Moroccan tiling coats the side of the bar while chandeliers in the same style hover above, and touches like vintage lighting, found antiques, and ancient-looking mirrors compete with the light wooden walls and random nooks to charm you. Former Seven Grand and Villains mix-master Dave Whitton is behind the bar’s offerings, a new selection of old-skooly cocktails with new-fangled touches like muddled cucumber Margaritas and Cosmos with Cabernet and lavender bitters. Accompanying Whitton’s creations will be chef Hugues Quintard’s menu of light bar eats like crostini, smoked trout rillette, moules frites, french fries with gorgonzola and duck foie gras parfait. Take a look at the newly remodeled space in our slide show of The Bar at Cliff’s.
