Emeryville’s Can’t Fail Café Expands to Fox

Rudy’s Can’t Fail Café, which is co-owned by one of the members of Green Day, is expanding to Oakland’s Uptown, as the Scoop is reporting. The new location will be on the left side of the Fox Theater’s main entrance, in a space that’s been vacant since the newly renovated theater opened as a concert venue two years ago. They’re aiming to open in late May, with a menu similar to Emeryville’s American/sandwich focus, and they’re promising a private booth that seats ten, inside a “stainless steel dining car,” which will have its own private entrance into the theater. We’re just glad, especially now that Xolo opened, that we won’t be stuck eating those terrible pork sandwiches at The Den anymore when we go to shows. [Scoop]
