Drago Keeps The Duck and Plans to Get Your Goat

Originally planned just for April, Drago’s six courses of Italian duck dishes (kind of like if Cochon 555 was all about duck and only involved one chef) is staying on at the restaurant, at least through June and possibly longer. Even more exciting, especially for all of us who bought Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough’s latest tome but still can’t find the good stuff, Celestino Drago himself tells us that he and executive chef Evan Gotanda might base their next special menu all around goat meat, inspired by the Sicilian chef’s recent hunting trip in Idaho. Does this mean Santa Monica will carry roasted carpetto before Scarpetta brings its famous version to Beverly Hills?
