On Monday, we gave you recipes for over 21 colorful cocktails that we’re enjoying around town. We imagine that no one’s probably made all 21 just yet, but today, Chris Bostick of The Varnish offers us another, this one a bit of a take on the Michelada that uses green jalapeno Tabasco and spiced salt that the bartender debuted last night at the after-party for The Hangover II’s Hollywood premier. Called The Morning Medicine, it sounds like it can both give you a hangover and possibly help alleviate one. Take a look at Bostick’s full Morning Medicine recipe below.
"The Morning Medicine"

In a rimmed, ice-filled pint glass, add 1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice, ¼ oz. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, 1/5 oz. fresh squeezed orange juice, and ½ teaspoon of Tabasco Green Jalapeno. Add 12 oz. of Mexican or Thai beer last. Garnish with a lime wheel and spiced salt rim (recipe follows).
Spiced Salt: Combine ¼ teaspoon guajillo chile powder, ¼ teaspoon ancho chile powder, and 2 tablespoons salt. Mix together well.
