Blue 13 just announced that Chris Davies will be its new chef de cuisine. He’s replacing Paul Taufner who had taken the position in January after executive chef Chris Curren decided to consult with Elate. Taufner explained that he decided to leave the restaurant to spend more time with his family in Milwaukee. As for Davies, he’s originally from Portland, OR, though he also spent five years as a kid in Egypt. After he moved to Chicago, he’s worked at Branch 27, and, most recently, as a sous chef at Henri.
