What to Eat at David Bouley’s Brushstroke, Opening to the Public Tonight

At least one neighbor won’t be too happy to hear this, but we’re pleased to report that David Bouley’s years-in-the-works Brushstroke finally opens tonight. (It officially threw open the doors half an hour ago, in fact.) The restaurant has been hosting $85 prix-fixe preview dinners for friends and family over the past few weeks, but now the general public is invited in to enjoy the same, or a selection of à la carte sushi, cooked bites, and cocktails. And we just happen to have those menus for you! Get a look at what chefs Isao Yamada and Hiroki Murashima are serving in the way of traditional sushi and sashimi, plus the “bar menu” of cooked dishes like chawan-mushi egg custard with dungeness crab and black-truffle sauce. Not to mention Japanese cocktails such as one with vodka, housemade tomato confiture, and lemon. Now, what is it we were just saying about Tribeca becoming a hot spot?
