Just in time for some actual warm weather is Bridge House Tavern, which is open now in River North. It’ll be located in the former home of the Flatwater Grill, which we honestly didn’t even know had closed. Sure, it wasn’t exactly renowned for its food, but it did have one of the most spectacular outdoor patios in the city overlooking the Chicago River. It appears that this new place is trying to correct the food problem. According to Time Out, the new menu was developed by Mark Hemmer, and he’s going for an “Industrial Tavern.” The entire menu and space has been redone, and it looks like it is a lot more affordable.

Flatwater’s entrees could easily creep over the $30 mark, but most of the food at the Bridge House Tavern is far less. While the Prime Rib of Pork may cost $29, the bulk of the menu is dedicated to “Things to Share,” “Greenery,” and “Between the Bread.” Most of these cost less than $20.

This makes sense for a space that is probably trying to attract a younger crowd. But you can decide for yourself by checking out the full menu below.
