What in the World Is This Thing Outside of Kenka Now?

The hordes who wait outside of Kenka (Dirt Candy’s Amanda Cohen recently admitted to being among them) have always been able to amuse themselves with the big-balled tanuki and the make-your-own-cotton-candy machine. Now the restaurant has put out this, uh, dude holding a, uh, well, something that you can stick your face into for funny photos. This totally beats making a video with Ronald McDonald! And it’s the trippiest thing we’ve seen on St. Marks since Gama’s giant hallucinogenic pimp cup. Nobody’s picking up the phone at the restaurant to explain it — can anyone who reads Japanese tell us what the heck this is (other than, you know, the usual Kenka awesomeness)?
