The Rise of the Non-Mexican Taco Continues Apace

Today, Midtown Lunch brings news of a second Korilla BBQ Korean taco truck soon to hit the streets. Plus, we’ve just learned of something even more unusual: Food writer and FCI-trained chef (and friend of Grub Street) Pervaiz Shallwani will team up with No. 7’s Tyler Kord this coming Monday for an Indian taco night at the Fort Greene restaurant. Think: pork vindaloo or saag paneer on homemade corn tortillas topped with fresh tomato-onion and cilantro chutneys. Kord e-mails that an order of the saag tacos will go for $7, and the pork for $9, so vegetarians will come out ahead. As per hours, he reports, “We’ll do it from 7 until we run out or get too drunk to plate anymore.” [Midtown Lunch]
