While the South Loop may be losing restaurants at a frightening pace, it could also be getting a brand new farmers’ market for the summer. We’re always fans of outdoor markets, but this one sounds especially interesting. The company behind the proposal is Bensidoun USA, which already runs the Chicago French Market. They should know a few things about running a successful food operation. It’ll be located at the south end of Grant Park along Michigan Avenue and would run from Memorial Day through October. Let’s hope this works out. [Clout Street/Trib]
