Laurel Heights: Walter Abrams, formerly a sous chef at French Laundry for a solid six years, took over the kitchen at Spruce this week as their new chef de cuisine. He’ll be assuming the day-to-day from executive chef Mark Sullivan. [Tablehopper, Earlier]
SoMa: Coming to the Zen Compound (540 Howard) that is also home to Temple nightclub is Ki, a sustainable sushi place with yakitori and izakaya fare from executive chef Brian Beach (Aqua, Waterbar). Opening is slated for May. [Scoop]
SFO: Terminal 2, with all that fancy food stuff, opens for business today. [Grub Street]

Windsor: You know how Mirepoix was supposed to be closing for some “much-needed repairs”? It turns out they had more than repairs in mind.
