According to UrbanDaddy, yet another Mexican place is set to debut, hopefully on Saturday if all goes according to plan. More ahead.
This one’s called Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar, the restaurant we told you about awhile back that wants to attract a more, ahem, mature clientele to its Faneuil Hall location. (That’s a tough task for a spot where fake IDs are as ubiquitous as hook-ups gone awry.) Moreover, we’re surprised that they have a mere 100 tequilas on offer, compared with Mexi-petitors Papagayo (which has its own tequila-tasting table) and Temazcal Tequila Cantina (300-plus!).
We have to give Mija some credit, though: It used to be a cheese-barn Cheers. Now, it boasts “wood that once held the snow off the highways of Wyoming” and a “70-plus-seat patio,” so hopefully it’s all uphill from here!
