The country’s largest literary bash, L.A. Times Festival of Books, returns at the end of the month, though this year it will be at USC not UCLA. Since we’ve been explicitly warned not to take a bite out of Lambchop when the puppet appears with Mallory Lewis, what’s in it for foodies? How about Thomas “Big Book Machine” Keller? The Bouchon boss will appear on the festival’s cooking stage for a demo, along with Duff Goldman from Ace of Cakes, though fortunately not at the same time. A full two-day schedule of speakers and panels is to come this Monday. [
