Ralph’s Famous Ices to Gramercy; Bloomingdales Gets Its Very Own Magnolia

Carroll Gardens: The JakeWalk, the neighborhood’s favorite spot to nom on some charcuterie and cheese while sipping whiskey and wine, has officially launched its weekend brunch. Chelsea: Chefs Alexandra Raij and Eder Montero don’t want you missing out on Txakoli, a spring wine from Basque Country. They’ll host a street-fair-like party at their restaurant, Txikito, dedicated to pairing this low-alcohol wine with all types of cuisine, including dishes from the talent behind Co., Edi & the Wolf, and Hurricane Club. Gramercy: Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices has set up shop on 24th Street and Lexington Avenue. As of today, they’ll be serving up the refreshing treats from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Apparently, they offer 50 different flavors of ices, ice cream, and sherbet. Mmmm. [Fork in the Road/VV]


Midtown East: The cupcake craze is far from over, and now it’s infiltrated Bloomingdales. The department store announced today that Magnolia Bakery will open a shop in its flagship store on Third Avenue this summer. It will be open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. [Grub Street]
