The Kentucky Derby isn’t until May 7, but diehards are no doubt thinking ahead (ladies, have you picked out your hat?). If bourbon is part of the plan, know that tomorrow is your one pre-Derby chance to load up on the Brooklyn-made stuff sold by Kings County Distillery. The booze-maker will offer free tours of its Williamsburg facility and $3 tastings of the bourbon and special mint juleps, plus tips on proper julep-fixing. You can also taste the moonshine, which recently picked up honors for Best Unaged Corn Whiskey at the American Distilling Institute’s Craft Spirits Conference, ensuring Kings County’s place as king of the Brooklyn hillbillies.
