English Keeps Licensing Board at Bay

The Boston Licensing Board has shown Todd English some mercy. Per the Globe, they’ve decided to let the woe-addled chef take more time to restore Olives. English says he needs more time to install a new ventilation system and make other repairs caused by a fire last year. The Board has agreed to wait 45 more days for a progress report and has held off stripping him of his liquor license. For his part, English says he hopes to reopen in July. What we’re really wondering is, after all is said and done, will people still want to eat at Olives? [Globe]
