Cursèd Space at Van Ness and Pacific Turns Over Once More, Will Become a Different ‘Ultra Lounge’

The space most recently known as Heights Ultra Lounge (the Yelp reviews are pretty funny, especially the conjecture about them pouring well liquor into top shelf bottles for bottle service, followed by the girl who thinks $240 for a bottle of Grey Goose is a good deal) is becoming a new models-and-bottles venue called Rendezvous, perhaps classed up by a tapas menu. As the Chron’s Inside Scoop column reports today, chef Philip Busacco of Terzo will be the chef, doing a menu of American tapas for a 96-seat restaurant which will morph, obviously, into more of a club environment later in the night with an abbreviated bar menu. It’s unclear if this is just a reconcepting by the same owner, or if the ownership has changed. But anyway, look for the reopening in about a month. [Chron - second item]
