Via Dana Cowin’s Twitter riddle the rumor went out yesterday that Saison chef-owner Joshua Skenes was likely one of Food & Wine’s ten Best New Chefs for 2011. Grub Street confirmed by phone this morning that Josh is in New York, and unlike fellow honoree Stephanie Izard, trips to New York aren’t so commonplace for Skenes. Also, unlike Izard, he confirmed, obediently, “I can’t talk until tonight.” Anyway, we can now say CONGRATULATIONS, Josh! Update: F&W; has made it official and posted the full list. [Grub Street]
