CBs Mull Outdoor Booze for High Line, Big Apple Barbecue, and Williamsburg Waterfront

Community Board 4 has cleared the High Line to serve beer and wine in two areas; according to DNA Info, Colicchio & Sons will be involved in food and beverage service above Chelsea Market and at the northern end of the section that opens later this spring. Meanwhile, though Brooklyn 11211 initially reported yesterday that residents asked Williamsburg’s Community Board 1 to ban the waterfront concerts that brought food vendors to the Williamsburg waterfront last year, the Parks Department tells Gothamist and the concerts’ organizer tells Brooklyn Vegan that they’re still on. Finally, Fork in the Road points out that Community Board 5 may still plead for a ban of the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party from Madison Square Park — there’s a public meeting tonight at 6 p.m., if you want to go plead for pig.
