Fine dining has finally come to Concord. 80 Thoreau, featuring talent from Rialto and Per Se, opens today in the Concord Train Depot. (Just down the street from the poshest Dunkin’ Donuts we’ve ever seen.) More ahead.
It really does sound like a nice addition to Concord. Rialto’s Carolyn Johnson is going for a farm-driven New England/French combo, with a mix of small and large plates. There’s a four-seat chef’s counter, with views of the open kitchen. Drinks-wise, they’re featuring Massachusetts breweries exclusively and making their own tonic water for cocktails. Oh, and we’re hoping for good service, because Service Director Vincent Vela was trained at New York’s Craft and Per Se. Sounds promising!
