Tiny’s Gets a Chef From Vongerichten’s Stable

Matt Abramcyk counts Henrik Lundqvist as an investor in his forthcoming Tiny’s (two weeks ago, the Rangers goalie told us to expect an opening right about now), and now we hear his sister Ana and younger brother Jack will also be operating partners. It’s a family affair! More important, a chef has been named: John Martinez is coming off of eight years under Jean-Georges “Shuttling Chef” Vongerichten, most recently as a member of the team opening new properties for Culinary Concepts. We hope to take a look inside soon — the space sounds plenty cozy, what with restored details from the 1810 townhouse, salvaged wood paneling, a wood-burning fireplace in the downstairs dining room, and a “Masonic-themed” copper and marble bar on the second floor, a.k.a. “The Bar Upstairs.”
