Thomas Keller has become the third American chef (after Julia Child and Alice Waters) to be inducted into the French Legion dhonneur for promoting French cuisine here. Check out the above photo of Keller seated next to the legendary Paul Bocuse, who presented the official medal to Keller during a reception at Per Se yesterday. Also pictured, from left to right: Alain Ducasse, Eric Ripert, French ambassador François Delattre, Kellers fiancé Laura Cunningham, Daniel Boulud (who nominated Keller), and Jerome Bocuse (Paul's son and VP of Bocuse d'Or USA). Hollywood types Dana Delaney, actor turned wine peddler Kyle MacLachlan, and producer Brad Lewis also attended the ceremony along with Beard President Susan Ungaro and Food & Wines Dana Cowin. Congos to Chevalier Keller!
