Somehow SiLa survived its strange, volatile, brief, dysfunctional relationship with chef Chris Hora (who told us he was renaming the restaurant “Oral” and injecting a menu of Slavic food) and the general disinterest of the surrounding neighborhood to hang on another year. Eater now reports that the Silver Lake bistro is finally calling it quits, with its last date of service tomorrow, after which the restaurant will close. Through a goodbye missive, owners Ray and Frank hint that their next venture could The Rosemary Cafe, which will keep the duo in Silver Lake. Just don’t expect any Czech goulash next to Peking duck spring rolls.
