RNM Space Priced to Move, Morton’s Steakhouse Possibly Up for Grabs

The restaurant economy proceeds at a steady clip here in San Francisco — and there weren’t nearly as many beginning-of-the-year closings as we expected — but this week Haighteration finds that the sale price for the RNM space (598 Haight Street), on the market now since last summer, has been slashed by more than half, from an original asking of $350,000 to a mere $160,000. As we noted earlier, owner Justine Miner was never really in it for the money. [Haighteration]

And wouldn’t you know, Morton’s Steakhouse appears to be headed for sale — the whole chain that is. It turns out Mr. Bauer might have visited them on the downswing when he gave them zero stars for food. [NYT]
