Regarding Cyrus’ Birthday Snow Globe/Bong Contraption

Instead of birthday candles, celebratory diners at Cyrus get served a dessert inside this unique contraption invented by manager and maitre d’ Nick Peyton, which is kind of like one of those volcano vaporizer things, and also kind of like a snow globe. As the Scoop explains, there’s a stone base that lights up, with a helium-filled balloon attached via a brass pipe; when the diner opens a valve on the pipe, the helium from the balloon pushes through the base and sends a bunch of chocolate “confetti” swirling around inside the bell jar, all around the dessert. Obviously, way more awesome than a stupid candle. [Scoop, Earlier via Michelin/Twitter]
