Kabab Grill, a brand-new halal Mediterranean restaurant and bakery, opened its doors on Friday after months of construction on Venice Blvd. The medium-sized room finds about ten tables packed into a cafe space and a menu that features daily-baked safeeha from a stone oven, beef and chicken shawarma, kebabs that include tilapia and salmon, traditional appetizers of ground beef-stuffed kibbeh, dry mint-sprinkled labneh, and baba ghanouj, soups, salads, and wraps, and fifteen dollar lamb chops grilled on an open fire. Everything is made-in-house here, with the fresh-baked breads, Arabic coffee, and baklava already calling to us at this new strip mall space that seems to go deeper into the preparation of its food than many of its competitors. Take a look at the space below.
