Fro-Yo Wars

Is the Fro-Yo Economy Thawing?

Last we heard, frozen yogurt was waning in popularity, but hey, here’s some good news for fro-yo freaks: Yesterday, Bowery Boogie noted that Red Mango just opened an outpost at 145 Allen Street, and the Feast now reports that a 16 Handles will open at 325 Amsterdam Avenue on April 15. Plus, according to the Park Slope Patch, when Culture: An American Yogurt Company opens later this month on Fifth Avenue between Third and Fourth Street, it’ll have its own “yogurt room” for making fro-yo from hormone and antibiotic-free milk from upstate. Is frozen yogurt the new cupcakes? Just kidding.
