Hudson Due June 1 in Old Gravity Room Spot

We previously reported on Paul Owens’s (Tortilla Heights) plans to take over the shuttered Gravity Room space in the Marina (3251 Scott Street), and Tablehopper later followed up regarding the bar-naming contest Owens was holding. It sounds like a name has been chosen: Hudson. As Eater reports, Owens is hoping to up the cocktail ante a smidge in the Marina environs, bringing fresh Greyhounds, muddled drinks, etc., as well as a small food menu — think edamame poppers, cheese plate, small noshes. Also, he insists, the concept and décor will be “not cliché.” And this Hudson is not to be confused with the other Hudson across the bay, which just replaced Garibaldi’s on College Avenue. Owens and this Hudson are aiming for a June 1 opening.
